People and roles
Inviting your team, roles and what each one can do, and how agencies manage clients.
Roles
Roles are given per company or per client. A role on a company applies to all of its clients.
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Viewer | See content, screens and their status. Can't change anything. |
| Editor | Upload media, edit slides, playlists, screen groups and schedules, publish, pair, rename and unpair screens, and send everyday commands (identify, reload, screenshot, restart player, maintenance). |
| Client admin | Everything an editor can, plus invite and manage people in the client, and reboot or update screens. |
| Company admin | Manage every client in the company: create clients, set their device and storage quotas, and manage people at company level. |
Above companies sit platform admins — that's our support team, who set up companies and their overall quotas according to your plan.
If you don't have access to something, Info Display behaves as if it doesn't exist. That way nobody can discover other organisations' names or content by guessing links.
Inviting people
Client admins invite people under More → People → Invite people. There are two kinds of invite:
- Email invite: for one specific person. Works once.
- Domain invite: anyone with an email address at your domain (e.g.
@example.com) can join, up to the number of uses you set. Handy for onboarding a whole team.
Either way you get a link to share. Invites are valid for 7 days. People without an account create one when they open the link; people who already have one simply join.
Pending invites are listed under the people list, where you can revoke them.
Changing roles and removing people
In More → People, pick a new role from the list next to a person, or remove them. Removing someone takes effect immediately — their next request is refused.
Agencies and resellers
If you run screens for several customers, create one client per customer in Administration. Each client has its own media, playlists, screens, people and quotas, and customers only see their own client. You can give a customer's staff editor access to their client while you keep company-level control.
Company admins set each client's device quota (how many screens it can pair) and storage quota. Client quotas must fit within the company's own quota.
